Nivea, a company dedicated to skincare for over 100 years, always ensures a relaxing day at the beach.  Already trusted by parents to protect their kids’ skin from those harsh UV-rays, the brand elevated the concept of “protection” a layer further. Their recent digital/print campaign ad created a dual purpose device by helping parents with the other big beach concern – kids running off by themselves. The print ad comes with a protector strip bracelet with a built in locator.  Simply detach and adjust the protector strip to fit the child’s wrist, then download the Nivea Sun Protect app and configure it with the bracelet.  Letting the user set the maximum distance the child can go, the app alerts the parent if their child strays beyond the pre-set limit.  The radar shows as the parent approaches or moves away from the bracelet to help locate the child quickly and easily.  Nivea’s approach of combining traditional advertising with digital offers a unique experience for consumers, while reinforcing them of its product benefits.  Check out the video here and share your thoughts below!
