To support the launch of Netflix, the popular video streaming service, in France the brand has taken the GIF outdoors.

The brand has created a total of 100 different GIFs that are being used as OOH ads. The GIFs range in content and depict scenes such as, current events, movie clips and even the weather – at one rainy bus stop the GIF was a rainy scene from a film.

While some have reacted to seeing a GIF in such a large image disturbing, the animation is eye-catching and certainly grabbing consumer attention. Netflix is the first brand to take the GIF outdoors, but with the attention the campaign has attracted other brands are sure to follow suit.
