Valentine’s Day 2016 marks Necco’s Sweathearts, 150th anniversary, but this year instead of only providing loved ones with sweet words, Necco is asking to hear what people have to say about love.

Necco’s “Share Your Sweet Story” campaign invites individuals to share how they met their loved ones in 150 words for a chance to win $5,000. The campaign is housed on a microsite that allows users to not only write their story but share a photo from their social channels of them and their husband, wife, parents, children, best friends and pets. The site also features an inspirational video of Jack and George, a couple that fell in love in 1961 and has been together ever since. While Necco Sweatheart’s have always been a seasonally relevant candy around this time of year, the current campaign supports a positive message by shining a light on everyone’s individual love stories in a year where #loveislove championed social media.
