The Swedish megastore, has launched a unique online video campaign that features couples transitioning into a new life stage shopping throughout the IKEA showroom. The videos don’t just show show an average shopping experience however, the couples in the videos are actual customers who’ve volunteered to be hypnotized by world-famous hypnotist, Justin Tranz. Walking through the showroom, the customers experience how IKEA products will fit into their daily life, whether in the bathroom, living room or kitchen. For most the experience has them seeing into the future of their homes, with the IKEA items they are seeing—believing that they are actually there and not in the busy showroom. For IKEA the video campaign supports their position that everyone should be able to fulfill their aspirations and design a home that reflects them – no matter what stage of life they are in or what their lifestyle is. And, unlike other popular furniture retailers who appeal to very niche markets, IKEA proves it reaches everyone from the college student, to young couples, to a remodeler or to someone simply hungry for Swedish meatballs.
