Stemming from the worldwide campaign, “Share a Coke,” Coke has found a new way to incorporate fan’s names into their brand to create an interactive digital experience.
By tweeting a name with #cokemyname, an outdoor billboard in Times Square displays a stream of fun facts about the submitted name for minutes at a time. A webcam also photographs the display to send as replies to specific Twitter users. Additionally, a microsite has been launched to allow fans to watch a similar stream of facts in real time from home. Users are able to experience the interactive campaign wherever they may be, allowing a higher level of engagement and social sharing for Coke between the brand and consumers.
