In an effort to boost fan engagement, the Ravens released a full emoji keyboard today with over 80 emoji characters and stickers that represent their players, brand and football.
The team believes the spur of the moment social sharing will increase with the new keyboard. This digital amplification will increase the likelihood of fans becoming brand advocates by creating conversations and engaging with others who have downloaded the keyboard. This is another form of digital connectivity and emotional marketing playing a role into the way brands communicate with their audience. The Ravens are tapping into the way that fans are thinking and making it even easier for fans to create conversation about their brand. I’d be surprised if more teams don’t follow suit.
