Absolut is launching a new initiative called “Hoppr” that amplifies their recent event, Absolut Electrik House Party, which was designed to showcase ‘next-level’ house parties.
Hoppr allows users to sign in through Facebook and either select that they are hosting a party or searching for one to attend. Absolut’s idea is built on the notion that people are seeking out new ways to find fun and adventure and this allows for party hopping to happen seamlessly.
The program works through GPS functionality where both parties, hosts and attendees, have agreed to share address details. Absolut not only is turning ‘nightlife’ on it’s head, but is also using Facebook to not only stay connected with others, but to connect with new people as well. Absolut drives purchase by allowing consumers to also search and locate stores that sell Absolut close by. It will be interesting to see how consumers react and the traction Hoppr receives during the holiday season – which is typically full of house get-togethers.
