Reanaissance Hotel partners with Andrew Zimmern to create a video series, The Navigator’s Table, that documents the places to go and things to do in cities such as New York, Chicago and Nashville.
With society’s increased interest in visiting a city the way the locals live, the series focuses on talking to in-the-know influencers that can share their personal hot spots that make the city come alive. Andrew Zimmern, a chef and Bizarre Foods hosts, gathers friends at a roundtable to discuss his culinary adventures and their expert advice on the most interesting neighborhoods.
Dan Vinh, Renaissance Hotels’ Marketing VP told Adweek the series is about, “Getting people’s perspective on what makes Chicago, Chicago.” Renaissance Hotel also released a Navigator app, which provides neighborhood to-do suggestions that are nearby hotel locations. The new series is a smart activation to create relevancy in a world where AirBnB, and VRBO are soaring when both business travelers and vacationers want to ‘live like the locals.’
