To promote their IKEA Art Collection 2016 initiative, IKEA Belgium created Klikk, an app that gives consumers the opportunity to be featured in a poster series composed of works by popular artists.
The Klikk app only allows participants to take one unfiltered photo, forcing them to put all of their photographic know-how into snapping the perfect shot. The limited edition poster series, which will be sold on IKEA.be, is bringing attention to the over-saturation of various filtering tools available to consumers today. Although asking consumers to download an app may cause lower conversion rates for entries, this promotion is a great example of how to successfully tap into a wide audience, from budding photographers to soccer moms.
